Abstract

The paper presents the analysis of 601 questionnaires gathered by the Foundation Supporting Physically Disabled Mathematicians and Computer Specialists in the period 1997-2001. The respondents accessed the Foundation looking for help in finding employment and acquiring computer qualifications. The questionnaires concerned their social and professional situation.

The analysts recruited from the Foundation and from the Institute of Computer Science PAS (Statistical Data Analysis Group).

Material and results of the analysis are described in Part A. A flowdiagram which shows how information concerning physically disabled people is being found, synthesized and disseminated, is presented in Part B. The next paper (to appear at the beginning of 2003) will describe the effects updating this part of questionnaires which is most concerned with employment.
