Towards a model of distributed computations with complex data

917

Abstract

A model of distributed computations is proposed. Distributed computations are modelled as distributed processes of transforming graphs and they are represented by contextual occurrence nets equipped with graph structures. This allows one to reflect branching and concurrency of context-dependent events. Operations on structures representing processes are defined that allow one to construct such structures from simple components.

Key words: graph, occurrence net, dynamic graph, application of a dynamic graph to a graph, concatenation of dynamic graphs, sum of dynamic graphs.
