Representing mutual locations of intervals being pairs of points in non-linear point time

Abstract

In this paper we suggest extending the set of mutual locations (primitive relations) of intervals being pairs of points to the non-linear case. Both left linearly and partially ordered time is considered. Next, we analyze the endpoints representability of non-primitive (compound) relations between such intervals. Finally, we distinguish a subclass of solid intervals and suggest a set of primitive relations between them, this time together with corresponding composition tables, for left linear and partial order.
