Structures and completeness of viewing models in visual identification systems

833

Abstract

This paper refers to model structure graph and views structure graphs for visual identification systems. In particular it contains a review of recent works about such graphs and a presentation of a method and an algorithm to denote an adjacency of one-view areas on the viewing sphere. There is also a description of a structure in which the information about adjacency is stored. Denoting the adjacency of areas is a part of testing if whole sphere is covered by them. If the answer is negative boundaries of "wholes" in covering of the sphere are defined and then supplementary views are calculated to complete the covering. Not till then we can say that the representation is full.

Key words: model structure graph, multiview model representations, one-view areas on a viewing sphere, covering of a viewing sphere by one-view areas, completeness of multiview representation, adjacency of one-view areas.
