Abstract

The objective of a calibration is to estimate the internal and external parameters of a visual channel of a perceptual system. The knowledge of these parameters enables a searching of a correspondence between 3D points on a scene and projections of these points on the image taking with the aid of this channel. The paper introduces to the problems of parameters estimation and calibration of the camera, and formulates a common model of these operations.
